What Tuulisti Has To Say: Sunday, 24.9.2006 Yes, I know it has been ages since my last update, but I have a good reason for that as I am now both working and studying. Anyways, I will keep updating us new information comes up. This time the following pages have been updated: Figures (others), AC, Phonecards, Fakes, DoC, Wants, Promos and Misc. Once again I would like to ask everyone to post their FF merchandise related questions on the discussion forum. I check for new posts daily and reply to them as soon as possible. This is a much better and faster way of getting your questions answered than sending them to my private email box, and what's even better other people can see and learn from questions posted there too. Friday, 12.5.2006 FFVII AC has now been released in the North America and Europe and the Advent Children page has been updated. Also the DoC, Figures, Fakes, Itadaki Street, Wants and Help pages have been updated. This time I would like to remind everyone of the fake FFVII plush toys being sold on eBay. The fake plushies are of course worthless from the collectors point of view whereas the authentic FFVII plushies are rare and valuable collectables. I would also like to thank Zuckerzombie for providing information and pictures of a promotional DoC poster. I have again received a lot of feedback and questions regarding my site and FFVII collectibles, and while I greatly appreciate feedback and am happy to help whenever I can I would like to suggest that some of the feedback and questions would be posted on the small forum associated with my site so everyone could see them. Sunday, 9.4.2006 Just a quick note to draw your attention to these pictures of a set of very detailed FFVII AC statues featuring Cloud and Sephiroth, posted by Ultimatefencer. I will let you know once I get some solid information regarding these items. Also, Final Fantasy Trading Arts vol. 2 is now out. The series consists of 6 figures (of which two are FFVII related, Tifa and Vincent) plus a secret figure: Vincent of the Turks. Once again, now is a good time to be a FFVII fan. Tuesday, 4.4.2006 I hunted down some of the many typos and updated the AC, Books, Coldcasts, DoC, Fakes and Misc pages. Again, many thanks to people who have emailed me with information regarding some rare collectibles or just to give valuable feedback. Monday, 27.2.2006 Finally an update. The AC, DoC, KH, Misc, Unlicensed and Wants pages have been updated. Since the counter has long ago hit 10 000 (and just today 11 000), Poppo is now working on his travel guide which will be published as a blog. Just a little longer... but don't hold your breath, he is a very lazy little alien after all. FFVII (disc 1), signed by Hironobu Sakaguchi.
Friday, 6.1.2006 Happy new year, Final Fantasy fans! Only a small update today. I have found some pictures of new FFVII AC and DoC merchandise, but since I don't have enough information on those items I won't post the pictures just yet. Below are some pictures I took while snorkeling in the Red Sea two weeks ago.
Thursday 1.12.2005 The AC, Chromes, Puzzles and Wants pages have been updated. The next update will most likely happen in January, as I will be busy in Egypt with Poppo and then celebrating X-mas and new year with my friends and family. Tuulisti's website has now been online for about a year, and I would like to think the site has helped and inspired many fans and collectors. I have received a lot of feedback and other email messages from people all around the world which has often been both fun and interesting. Searching the net and especially eBay for interesting FFVII memorabilia has become significantly harder as fake and unlicensed FFVII AC items are being sold everywhere by hundreds of shops and individual sellers. The amount of new, mainly Chinese unlicensed items is huge as compared to the amount original and authentic FFVII merchadise available. I would like to remind everyone that fake FF items are often of poor quality and also illegal, so in my opinion no-one should consider giving them as christmas presents for true FF fans or collectors. Finally I would like to wish all FFVII fans and collectors merry christmas and happy new year! I am looking forward to another year of FFVII collecting and numerous website updates. Wednesday, 2.11.2005 Ok, I have finally finished another set of small updates. The AC, Misc, KH, Book, Figures (others) and stationary pages have been updated. Big, important numbers in the visitor counter such as 7777 and 8000 have swooped by quickly and I have not had time to come up with any additional articles or other content to thank the loyal fans of my site. However, I have been working alongside Poppo in order to finish "Poppo's Guide to Earth Traveling", but it might still be a while before it gets fnished as we are heading to Egypt in December and we want to include Poppo's views on the pyramids in the guide. It has been interesting to see how the small world of FFVII collecting has changed since AC was released; a lot of new merchandise is being introduced, the prices for some items on online actions have shoot up and people who never used to be very interested in FFVII are starting their own FFVII or AC collections. Of course there were a lot of changes to be seen already before the release of the movie - many items such as soundtracks and cold casts were and are being re-released. Another thing that has caught my attention is the increased amount of so called entrepreneurs who, for example, make new custom versions of FFVII soundtracks and even give them serial numbers calling them "limited edition" soundtracks, which of course sounds like an official product. There have been people making money of self-made FFVII products before (like the so called materia sets), but taking the music made and owned by Square-Enix and then selling it for profit is just wrong. While it is true Square-Enix probably has a lot of money already, I don't think any real fan of the FF series would like to steal from the company that has offered us hundreds of hours of great entertainment. It is one thing to download music from the internet, and it is a nother to pay someone for selling something he/she stole. Finally, below is a picture of me and my husband. Great big thanks for everyone who sent gifts or emails to congratulate me on behalf of my wedding! :)
Friday, 7.10.2005 I am married and I have seen the FFVII AC - I can now die happy. (Not that the movie was THAT great...) The Advent Children, Before Crisis and Figures (other) have been updated,
finally. As you can see from the updates, there are a lot of new expensive
AC merchandise out there, so if you haven't already, start saving up! Thats
what I am doing. I will be posting a few wedding pictures on the site sometime soon so everyone who is interested can have a peek into my extremely interesting and well protected personal life. Finally, for everyone is wondering: yes, FFVII music was played in my wedding. ;) Thursday, 8.9.2005 The updates have been few and small for some time now, but the only reason for that is that I have been preparing for my wedding which will take place in two days. Fortunately me finding the love of my life has not affected my passion for what really matters in life, so I will keep playing video games, collecting and updating the site as soon as I am finished with the wedding celebrations and honeymooning. In other words I will be unavailable for updates or email contact until the end of September, but after that I hope to continue with frequent and informative updates regarding the very important subject of FFVII collecting. The Advent Children page now has a lot of new pictures and a new item was added to both Books and DoC sections. Also the Wants list has been updated. (Has anyone noticed that whenever I update my wants list it just seems to get longer?) Everyone who has pre-ordered the AC DVD box: please enjoy the movie, I really can't wait to see it but I guess I have no choice unless they are going to be showing it as an in-flight movie... ;) Sunday, 21.8.2005 With both my graduation and wedding day getting closer and closer, I haven't had much time concentrate on updating the site. However there are a lot of new FFVII related merchandise being published these days so I will try my best and keep up. The Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Kingdom Hearts and Help sections have been updated. Wednesday, 3.7.2005 Some small updates around the site; a new better picture on Phonecards, A new item on Misc and updated Help! and Trade/Wants list. Monday, 25.7.2005 The Advent Children, Game, Stationary and Misc pages have been updated and some new pictures have been added. Saturday, 16.7.2005 To celebrate the visitor counter hitting 5000 I have opened a new Final Fantasy Collecting Forum. The guestbook link has been replaced with the link to the forum, please check it out! Thursday, 14.7.2005 Some small updates around the site. A couple of new pictures have been added and some of the information updated. The visitor counter of my site will soon hit 5000, and when that happens I will open a new Final Fantasy collectibles forum. The forum will replace the guestbook for now, and depending on how much popularity it gains it might become a permanent part of the site. Please come back soon and check out the forum once it is open! Thursday, 30.6.2005 I know it has been a long time since I last updated, but I have been busy. Really busy. I need a lot of sleep lately as my Bridezilla act takes up a lot of energy. As you probably have already noticed, the site has moved to a new address. My new preferred email address is now Tuulisti@tuulisti.com, but Tuulisti@hotmail.com still works as well. The guestbook is for some reason now all messed up, so I might have to get rid of it and make my own, more reliable guestbook. If that happens everyone is welcomed to write again since their old messages have unfortunately been lost. The Advent Children section has finally been updated with new pictures of the contents of the FFVII AC Ultimate Limited Edition goodies. Extra special big thanks to people who have already
donated wedding gifts! May the gods of FFVII merchandise smile upon you! Monday, 13.6.2005 The Advent Children, Promos and Phonecards sections have been updated. It seems there are news about Advent Children every day, but unfortunately very little picture material or details of the different DVD release versions are available. I will add more information regarding the subject as soon as possible. Monday, 6.6.2005 I was able to find some new pictures again, so the Advent Children, Phonecards, Puzzles and Trade pages have been updated. There have also been some other small updates. Monday, 30.5.2005 I added an early picture of the FFVII AC Swing Keychains and a picture of a FFVII Puzzle of which authenticity I am unsure about. Saturday, 28.5.2005 A friend suggested I put up a donation link for wedding gifts, so I did. I guess there is no harm in doing that. ^^ Some of the FFVII Advent Children merchadise are now being sold on the North American Squre-Enix website, so the Advent Children section has been updated. I also added some new pictures to the Phonecards section. Wednesday, 25.5.2005 Today I was able to get new pictures of phonecards and model kits I previously did not know about. The corresponding sections are updated. Thursday, 19.5.2005 I started updating the information regarding the FFVII promotional items distributed during this years E3 expo. At least some FFVII Before Crisis mobile phone screen cleaners and a media only FFVII Advent Children Trailers were available. Tuesday, 17.5.2005 I have been able to complete a lot of parts of my collection lately. I now have every official FFVII book I know of, every FFVII Coca Cola figure, even all of the fake FFVII Extra Knights figures. I am stilling missing a lot - for example one of the keychains and candy figures + the yellow hair version Extra Knights Cloud. Saturday, 14.5.2005 I have not been updating the site much, but I did make this Graphical Presentation of FFVII Fandom. The graph shows FFVII Collecting as a part of FFVII Fandom comparable to Cosplay, Fan Art and Fan Fiction. Playing the actual game is more related to writing walkthroughs, game FAQs and articles and analyzing the game, in my opinion. Of course personally I think much more highly of FFVII Collecting than any other part of FFVII fandom. ^^' Monday, 9.5.2005 There is now a link to The Final Fantasy VII Citadel, my site affiliate, on the top bar next to the buttons. I am sure most FFVII fans are already familiar with the site, but for those who for some reason are not: For heaven's sake go check it out! I did some updates, mainly on Books, Keychains and Fakes. Wednesday, 4.5.2005 Some small updates. There are now a few new pics of phonecards illustrated by Amano in the Phonecards section. I changed the site FAQ under the FFVII button. The text will be changed as soon as I get around doing it. Monday, 2.5.2005 Again some small updates around the site. I wish people would stop abusing the guestbook. I am happy about feedback and comments, but I would like to keep things that have absolutely nothing to do with FFVII or this site away from the guestbook. If you have a personal message or question for me please send it in email. Inappropriate messages have and will be deleted. For the Finnish FFVII fans using this site: Olkaa ystävällisiä ja pitäkää huutonettiin tai muihin suomalaisiin sivuihin liittyvät viestit poissa vieraskirjasta. Jos teillä on minulle asiaa tai kysyttävää, olkaa ystävällisiä ja lähettäkää se mailissa. Sunday, 1.5.2005 I added two mediocre pictures of the Banpresto keychains and improved some of the old pictures around the site. Friday, 29.4.2005 Big news: My humble site is now an affiliate of The Final Fantasy VII Citadel. I am very happy for this great honor and I promise to try my best and keep updating and improving the site. I did a lot of small updates today. There still are sections that need to be updated ASAP, and it has taken me way too long to get pictures of some items. I will try and get the pictures of the Banpresto keychains done next. I have been having an urge to take up writing and analyzing the game again, probably because I have been reading the "classics" of FFVII articles a lot lately. Many intelligent and dedicated people have written a lot of different things about the game, but I still think I have things to say as well. In any case, right now I am busy doing what I already do, so I will leave the article writing for those with real talent. Thursday, 28.4.2005 Today I updated the Trade? and Help! sections and created a simple Site FAQ. I am planning to do some changes regarding the buttons on the top pf the page - maybe change the pictures and replacse some of the old content with brand new content. Wednesday, 27.4.2005 I updated the Soundtracks section, added some new pics and catalog numbers. It was about time too! Tuesday, 26.4.2005 A lot of updates today! I rearranged the navigation bar, so now all the FFVII related games are under one main category, "FFVII Related Games." The subcategories are Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus, Ehrgeiz, Itadaki Street Special and Kingdom Hearts. I decided to keep Advent Children as an independent section for now, as it is an actual sequel to FFVII and without doubt interests most FFVII fans and collectors. Monday, 25.4.2005 I did some small updates and added a list of items I am currently looking for in the "Trade?" section. Maybe it will someday help me get some collectables I have so far been unable to find... Thanks to R. Capowski, I now have some info and pics of fake FF Art Museum cards that I did not previously know even existed. The "fakes" section is therefore updated as well. Thursday, 21.4.2005 Some small updates, some new pics and a lot of planning. I think the site needs a new look - I love the cute pink and stars but its not exactly professional looking... Then again, why should it be? Monday, 18.4.2005 Ironically, I did cacth a cold. And it has been bothering me for A MONTH now. I think the worst is over, but some days still are pretty bad. As I have not been feeling too good lately, there have not been any updates either. I will start working on the site again now, and hopefully add things for AC and many other pages as well. Today a friend brought up the idea of going to the Tokyo Game Show in September. I must say I am more than excited by even the idea of going there, but I guess it is too early to really get all worked up. Friday, 18.3.2005 Again some updates, mainly for the PhoneCards, AC, Misc and "Evaluating and maintaining the condition of your collectables". It's been snowing for two days now. I probably should go out, play in the snow and catch a cold just for the fun of it. Thursday, 17.3.2005 A big Advent Children update today. Pictures of AC merchandise are now available, but there is not yet much detailed information about the items. Monday, 14.3.2005 A lot of small updates today. Still a lot more to do. A friend came over this weekend. We rented a bunch of horror movies and ate junk food. I really love horror games and movies, but I am too much of a coward to be playing or watching them alone. I wish Jeepers Creepers was better, I seemed really promising in the beginning but did not really deliver. A man eating gargoyle? Bleh. Nothing will ever beat Silent Hill 2 and The Ring. Wednesday, 9.3.2005 Today, when rearranging and going trough my collection (again) I found a few fake items that I previosly believed to be genuine products... I am not really upset - I bought them from realiable sellers so I think this just prooves that everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Especially in the beginning of my collecting I was often confused about the authenticity of certain items, and I know I still have a lot to learn... How can Nausicaa of the Walley of the Wind be so amazing? I finished reading the manga albums again, and I am just as overwhelmed by it's beauty. Monday, 7.3.2005 Ok, this is it, my very first entry on my new Tuulisti section. I think I will write about new and planned updates as well things going on in my life in here from now on... The new FFVII related merchandise from the FFVII AC, BC and DC are of course keeping me busy, especially since even the old sections of the site are still uncomplete. I will try and get all of the links working as soon as possible, but unlike one might think, I also have a social life so I will take my time with the updates. About my newest finds: I was able to get a couple of original FFVII Posters (1997) in decent condition. I wish I could get some original promotional posters... I am so jealous at Reeve for those FFVII trailers! >_< |
