Phonecards There are three sets of Japanese FFVII Phonecards, each set consisting of 4 different phonecards and some FFVII related Amano illustrated phonecards. There is also one phonecard that was released as a promotional item in the US. The Japanese gold colored phonecards were limited to 3000 pieces each and individually numbered. They came with a plastic case and dog tag with a corresponding picture. They are rare and valuable items, just like all limited, individually numbered FFVII collectibles. The three gold phonecard sets are Blue, Red and Green sets. The Blue Set consists of Cloud, Chocobo, Tifa and Aerith cards. The Red Set consists of Barret, Red XIII, Cid and Cait Sith cards. The Green Set consists of Sephiroth, Vincent, Yuffie and Cloud&Chocobo.
These 6 phonecards were apparently released by the Japanese Shueisha V-jump. Unfortunately I have no info regarding these items.
There are at least 5 Japanese FFVII related phonecards illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano. Unfortunately I have no info regarding these items.
This phonecard features Yuffie of FVII and reads 1997 / Final Fantasy VII / Game of the Year. I shall therefore call it Final Fantasy VII - Game of the Year 1997 Phonecard.
There are also some FFVII Doujinshi Phonecards. Pictured are three such phonecards of which two are illustrated by the famous doujinshi artist Tohru Azumi and one Phonecard featuring Aerith by an unknown doujinshi artist.
This Japanese FFVII Phonecard appears to have been released by the Japanese Playstation magazine as it features a cover of an issue from 1997.
The US FFVII phonecard is not much compared to it's Japanese counterparts. It came within a cardboard case, and included some coupons. The one I have features Cloud with his Buster Sword, I do not know if there are any other kinds.
