Miscellaneous

This page is for items I could not find a better section for. Some of the items on this page are not just difficult to put under a category but also exceptional and rare.

As this site, the information on it and the way the items are divided under different sections is far from being perfect, they are bound to chance time to time. I will create new subsections every time I get a hold of new related items so that creating a new page for them is in order.

The Final Fantasy VII Aerith Theme Music Box is an absolutely wonderful item manyfactured by the Japanese Sankyo Shoji and limited to only 100(?!) pieces. The music box is made wood and metal and plays the unforgettable theme of Aerith. Each of these extremely rare music boxes is individually numbered.

This 1997 FFVII Calendar is a promotional item from Japan. The calendar consists of 13 sheets (one of which features all of the playable FFVII characters) in a paper and plastic case about the size of a CD case.

The FF VII Collector's Video and CD are American promo items with FFVII and other Squaresoft games related material on them. The video also has an interview of Hironobu Sakaguchi and the 3 North American TV trailer ads.

Both the Japan and USA version of Tobal No. 1 Playstation game include a bonus sampler disc of FFVII, a playable demo. As far as I know, the European release of the game does not include the bonus disc.

The two CD Playstation Underground 2 demo includes the same interview of Hironobu Sakaguchi as the FFVII Collector's Video, a playable FFVII demo and many other Squaresoft game demos.

Here is another playable demo disc of FFVII and some other PC games. Great big thanks to Matt W for sending me this picture.

A FFVII PC version promotional watch by Eidos featuring Cloud Strife. The starp is made of real leather and the clock arms glow in the dark.

This plastic Pepsi cup features Cloud and Aeris of FFVII and was most likely a promotional item released in North America during the Pepsi-FFVII campaign in 1997. Great big thanks to Rizdac for letting me know about this rare item and providing the picture!

Here is another rare item related to the Pepsi-FFVII campain from 1997: A FFVII illustrated Pepsi carboard box that was used to hold 12 cans.

The FF VII Wall Scroll features the same picture as many of the official FFVII stationary items. There are also A LOT of unlicensed FFVII wall scrolls, for more information view the "Unlicensed" section.

A FFVII flyer add with a coupon given out by the company Sears back in 1997.

The original and licensed FFVII posters are hard to find. However, just like with wall scrolls, there is a huge supply of unlicensed posters on the internet. For more information view the "Unlicensed" section. Pictured are four of the Banpresto made official FFVII posters numbers 3,4,5 and 6.

The FF VII Candy Figures are small, bluish chibi figures made by Bandai in 1997. They could only be acquired from Japanese "Shokugan" candy boxes for a limited time.  The boxes also included mini cards. There are 7 different sets of figures and 8 different mini cards. They are quite difficult to find these days!

The FF VII Mouse Mat was a promotional item released with the PC version of the game in Europe. I do not know if it or something similar was ever released in the US, but there were some mouse mats released alongside the stationary items in Japan.

The Final Fantasy VII Preview disc from 1996 Tokyo Game Show is a very early and rare promotional item. It includes a FFVII sample and Siggraph 95 works.

The FF VII Promotional T-Shirts are difficult to find in unused or even very good condition. The T-shirt that was given to the people who pre-ordered the game back in 1997 in the US is the most common of these T-shirts. This white Fruit of the Loom shirt features Cloud with his Buster sword, the FFVII logo and the Squaresoft logo. There are also two other white promotional FFVII T-shirt. They are made of thicker material, only have the FFVII and Playstation logo on them and have a few buttons in the front. I have no real info on these shirts so help is appreciated. Another type of FFVII T-shirt is the black Coca Cola Special Box promotional T-shirt limited to 10 000 pieces. The shirt has the Shinra Electric Company text on the front and the logo on the back
There are a lot of unlicensed FFVII T-shirts as well.

This extremely rare leather jacket with the Squaresoft and FFVII logo on it was supposingly custom made and given only for the members of the team that converted FFVII for PC in 1998.

These cards seem to be Squre-Enix Christmas Cards from Jump Festa 2004. The cards feature pictures of Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis and Final Fantasy XII. Unfortunately I don't have any other information regarding these cards.

These two licensed FFVII Post Cards appear as they have been originally attached to something bigger, such as a cover of a magazine, but I have no solid information on them apart from that they were printed in 1997 and judging by the English writing are from the US.

This promotional FFVII postcard featuring the city of Midgar was given to UK residents in 1997 when they purchased Playstation and registered with Sony.

An interesting collectible for a truly passionate fan of FFVII: an album titled "Loveless" by My Bloody Valentine. If you don't know why is this CD/LP listed here as an FFVII collectible, you need to pay more attention while playing the game. ;)
