Other Figures Final Fantasy Trading Arts Vol. 1, released in 2004 in Japan, includes 3 FFVII figures; Cloud, Sephiroth and the secret figure Zack. The different figures were randomly found from blind boxes, need some minor assembling, and there are colored and metallic color versions of all the 7 possible figures and therefore 14 different variations. The collectable value and prices of these figures are lower compared to the Extra Knights figures as they are more common and new. Also note that there are no completely sealed FFVII Trading Arts Vol. 1 figures as the cardboard boxes need to be opened in order to find out what figure is inside.
Later in 2004 the Final Fantasy Trading Arts was released in the US. This time the series consisted of only four figures, of which two were FFVII characters; Cloud and Sephiroth. The US version figures are sold in blister bags and do not need assembling. There are no metal version of the FF Trading Arts US version.
As to wherher or not the US Trading Arts figures are of worse quality than the Japanese figures like one might expect, I must say it is really a matter of opinion. There are some slight differences, but as the Japanese figures are more expensive and require some assembling, I would suggest that collectors should probably go for the Japanese figures but that the US figures are perfectly good for displaying purposes. Final Fantasy Trading Arts Vol. 2 was released in May 2006, and featurea three FFVII characters: Tifa and Vincent + the secret character Vincent of the Turks in his stylish(?) anti-fit uniform..
The Square Minimum Limited Edition Kingdom Hearts / Final Fantasy VII figure set consists of Cloud and Sephiroth figures and their weapons. The set is quite rare and was only released in Japan.
The Final Fantasy Heroins, a figure set released by Bandai in 2003 includes one FFVII character; Tifa. There are 6 different FF Heroins figures, and they could be randomly found from blind boxes.
Another set of FFVII related figures can be found from the Final Fantasy Creatures (Vol. 1-4). There are a number of different figures representing summon mosters, bosses and enemies from the games FF VII, VIII, IX, X and X-2. Although most of the creatures of these series appear in more than one of the FF games, at least Sephiroth Reverse, Diamond Weapon, Ruby Weapon, Sapphire Weapon, Arthur, Ultima/Ultimate Weapon, Neo Bahamut and Bahamut Zero are definitely from FFVII. Each figure came with a collectors card, and there are three versions of each figure; color, metal and clear. The figures were randomly found from cardboard blind boxes.
The fifth edition of FF Creatures is called the FF Creatures Archive Chromium. This set of figures consists of 8 figures and one secret figure. There are three versions (color, metal and clear) of each of the figures. Only one of the figures from this set is FFVII related - the secret figure, the gorgeous Safer Sephiroth!
The latest edition of FF creatures is called Final Fantasy Master Creatures. It consists of five figures of which one is Ifrit (Efrite) from FFVII. The Master Creatures series was released in Japan in September 2006.
The vol. 1 of FF Creatures was also released as a premium gold colored set limited to 300 sets. In this set of ten figures there are two FFVII related figures, Arthur and Ultima Weapon.
The Final Fantasy Creatures were released in the US a bit later, this time in blister bags and in sets of two. There are only three different sets of two figures in the US version of FF Creatures, and there are no metal or crystal version or collectors cards in this series. Out of the six US version figures only Diamond Weapon and Bahamut Zero are FFVII related.
