The Final Fantasy VII Doujinshi are unofficial FFVII related comics. They are made by a big number of different artists and Doujinshi circles, and feature a wide range of stories and settings. Yaoi, shonen-ai, drama and comedy (gag) styles are all very common. It is not that rare to see the Shinra people play baseball against Cloud and Sephy either. ^_^'
Also the quality differs a lot – some doujinshi is drawn and written with great skill, and some is *not*.

A few doujinshi related words you should know the meaning of before buying doujinshi in order to avoid getting disappointed or just scarred for life:
          Hentai / Ecchi: basically porn.
          Yaoi: sex between males, usually pretty ones.
          Shonen ai: love/romance between males, usually pretty ones.
          Yuri: sex between females (yes, they are usually pretty too)

It would be impossible for me to list all the existing FFVII doujinshi, but I will try to provide some info on my personal favorites and other "important" titles.

One of my favorite FFVII doujinshi is the ReBIRTH by Akira Hayami. The art work of the cover and pages is absolutely beautiful.

Another doujinshi by Akira Hayami, Nostalsia (Nostalgia), is a shonen ai story between Cloud and Red XIII. Now that's something you don't see every day...

Probably my favourite doujinshi are by K. Haruka of Be Happy, who has created a number of Doujinshi starring Vincent and co-starring Cid. The stories are mostly comedy style with soft yaoi. Very funny, cute and sexy, but sought after by many doujinshi collectors so the prices can get quite high.

The Catnip series by Owaraihonpo are drawn with style and include cute kitty versions of Cloud and Sephiroth in addition to normal characters.

The doujinshi circle Yubinbasya is famous for its FFVII soft yaoi doujinshi. The comics most often include at least Cloud and Zack and have a very distinctive style. Yubinbasya has also published FFVII doujinshi calendars and art books. I am not personally a big fan of the Yubinbasya, but I must admit the Sephiroth drawings are gorgeous!

There is a FFVII Doujinshi called Det Vackraste which is Swedish for "Most Beautiful". Other than the name the doujinshi is in Japanese, but I am sure the Swedish FFVII fans would find this interesting. I wonder if there are any FFVII doujinshi with Finnish names..?

There is also a number of FFVII related Kingdom Hearts, Ehrgeiz and even Advent Children Doujinshi.

The huge amount of existing FFVII doujinshi and other fan made items is on its part an indicator of the huge popularity and steady fan base the game has. Keeping that in mind it is no surprise there is also large amount of FFVII related erotic material. (OMG, who ever came up with the idea of drawing porn starring Tifa?!) Such comics have different degrees of nudity and sex, from occasional boob groping to ferocious tentacle "love".

The doujinshi artists sometimes also illustrate items such as calendars, notebooks, lami-cards etc. These Doujinshi Items are like doujinshi; various in form, style and quality.

I would say the collectable value of doujinshi for a FFVII collector is from moderate to low, but it is really a matter of opinion, as some people specialise especially in doujinshi.
