Cold Casts The Final Fantasy VII Cold Casts or Statues were made by the famous Kotobukiya, a Japanese company know to make high quality statues. All cold cast statues are highly collectable and popular FFVII items. Please note that there are a lot of fake cold cast! The price and collectable value of these statues is based on the overall condition of the statue and box, if the box is still sealed and partly on the individual number. (Generally speaking very low numbers are considered to be more valuable / collectible.) There are 6 original FFVII Kotobukiya hand painted character cold cast
statues; Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith, Tifa, Yuffie and Cloud&Daytona. Each of
these statues was limited to 5000 pieces, and came with an individually
numbered card. Later on 2 more statues were released; Vincent and Tifa vers.
2. The latter two were not individually numbered. Out of these statues the
Cloud & Daytona statue is the most expensive.
There are also 3 bigger, flashier and more expensive cold cast statues made by Kotobukiya; The Forgotten City, Cloud vs. Sephiroth and The Highwind. All of these statues were made in limited quatities. The Forgotten City diorama represents the moment Cloud buries the body of Aerith in the lake of the forgotten ancient city. A very popular and beautiful item, that was limited to only 1000 pieces.
The Cloud versus Sephiroth diorama represents the final battle between the hero and the villain. A very dynamic looking cold cast, limited to only 1000 pieces.
The rarest of all FFVII cold casts, limited to only 500 pieces, is the original Highwind statue. It is a very high class, high price item only the luckiest (and wealthiest) of collectors own. The Highwind statue was rereleased in 2005 without individual numbering, making it more available and affordable.
